Montage of Eagles, 1969

The symbol of the American bald eagle (which was borrowed from the backside of the American half-dollar) displays a bold stance against capitalism. The bird is repeated again and again like a monochromatic stamp, assuring that the message is loud and clear across the canvas. The fading stars above the head shows how the artist wished to erase capitalism from this world.
