Monologo Sull’arte (Monologue on Art)

Lidia Bachis’s version of a Mexican standoff takes place in a posh living space within a forest of old trees. The pinkish-white floor is actually the Japanese flag, which leads to the conclusion that the two figures clad in black are members of the yakuza (a known subject in her work). The colors are rather bleak, but fit the tense mood of the piece perfectly.
