L'addio

Race car driver Ayrton Senna, (1960-1994) in the city of Jerez de la Frontera, in Spain is portrayed walking away from the raceway. This is clearly a tribute to the late driver (the word L’addio means The Farewell) who tragically perished in a crash in 1994. The literal highlight of this piece is the fusion of neon on the plexi-glass encased canvas tracing along the Senna’s right side, creating a bloom lighting effect over the whole piece.
