Throughout most of the 1960’s, Pantaleoni continued to reinvent himself through his abstract works and the use of basic shapes as a starting point (in this case circles). In previous works his preferred line technique was rather thin and surgical. But, here the lines are the polar opposite; thick and bold. The faded, intermingling circular brush strokes is yet another new wrinkle in this series. The artist also begins placing circles within circles with contrasting colors creating something wholly unique to the art world.
