Twisting and Flailing

There’s a great deal going on in this piece. To begin, the twisting highway of blue and white lines are like an octopus flailing its tentacles as it plunges downward into the murky depths from the weight of a black ball or iron. This is one of those Pantaleoni paintings that plead for careful study. Gaze upon this work and time will slow to a crawl and the sense of wonder will become boundless.
