The artist has skillfully harnessed the various stages of a sunset, weaved it intricately into a throw rug, and burned the edges black with flame to produce a tight seal, assuring that the natural beauty will forever remain. Pantaleoni adds livelier colors here, producing a more whimsical tone than some of his prior works.
